Berkeley

Berkeley is settled on the eastern coast of San Francisco bay: it is the seat of the university which is known also as Cal, or UCB, or UC. It is a leading research university considered one of the best in the world. During the sixties Berkeley became famous for the student activism against the Vietnam war; today the students are divided in moderates and conservatives. Another famous America university is Stanford University, settled on the California.
