
Fethiye is a nice village located on the South-Western coast of Turkey. It was destroyed by an earthquake in 1958, but it was rebuilt and today is pleasing and quiet place where to spend a few days visiting the close archaeological sites and the beautiful coast. It has a natural harbour that can be visited walking all along the promenade. Nice boat trips give the chance to appreciate the coast and the small islands located close to here. if you love fish don't miss the fishes: a large covered area where you can buy your favourite fish and then just ask the close restaurants to cook it. Not far from Fethiye there are two interesting spots to visit: the phantom village of Kayakoy and Saklikent gorge. Fethiye is surrounded by beautiful natural places. The best way to visit it is maybe to make a boat trip starting from Fethyie harbor. If you like walking don't miss Kabak: a steeply path pass through the Mediterranean vegetation and reach a sandy beach close among the rocks. The Butterflies Valley is another place where to trekking: the name comes from a peculiar kind of butterfly which lives just here. As you can see the sea is very clean and also warm. If you are lucky you could see dolphins and turtles.
