
The Grand Xiangguo Monastery is a Lantau complex that was built during the northern Qi dynasty reign; during the northern Song dynasty it was worshipped by the emperor and became Royal Monastery. It hosts a beautiful statue 6 meters high that was carved of a single ginkgo biloba. It is located in the city centre close to a market named Da Xiangguo Si Shichang.
