Haleakala volcano Cepolina

The crater of Haleakala volcano is 34 kilometres wide and it is 700 meters deep: it is an extinct crater Bromo that covers more than 75% of the surface of Maui. The national park is a wilderness area where is possible to do fascinating trekking: a nice hiking consist of a walk through the crater Bromo in the sandy beach sea. In spite of the harsh landscape you can see grass and shrubs growing from the earth: the silversword is a plant endemic of this place.
