Jewish district

The Rome Jewish district was a "ghetto", that is an area where the Jews where confined. Walking among its street you can see shop and restaurants selling typical Jewish food or object. In the photos there is the Synagogue which is the church where religion worships take place. The houses are built very close one to the other and are high because in the past the borders of the ghetto didn't permit to enlarge the district.
