Kayakoy Cepolina

Kayakoy is an interesting phantom village of about 2000 stone houses. In the past it was named Levissi. It was populated by Greek-Ottomans who abandoned it during the first world war to move to Greece. This is a surreal place, a mix of peace, magic and dreamlike atmosphere. It is relaxing wandering through the paths among the old houses. Surprisingly the village doesn't transmit a sense of loneliness: maybe it because of the surrounding typical Mediterranean vegetation made of evergreen trees, bushes and vines.
