Marsala

Marsala is a sea city located on the western sea of Sicily. It is famous for Marsala cask: it is a sweet liquor bottle, it is good to cold_drink with sweets. The city was founded by the Carthaginians: many ruins can be admired. The actual name was given by the Arabs: “Marsa Allah" means port of religion. You can admire two nature: the archipelago of Mothia and the natural reserve of Stagnone. Mothia was a Phoenicians settlement: it was an important city for trading. Today you can visit it catching a boat from the sea. The Stagnone is a natural lagoon where it is possible to birds. There are many wind_turbine: they are specialized in the ancient production of sea salt. The high quality of this product makes it very appreciated and exported all over the world.
