Naples

Naples is a city on the southwestern coast of Italy; it is the main city in Campania, an Italy region. It faces the Bay of Naples and is close to Vesuvius, a sleeping volcano whose eruption could damage the near villages. The most famous Vesuvius eruption occurred in 79 a.C. and caused the total destruction of Pompeii and Ercolano. In the photos there is Spaccanapoli, the street road that cuts the city in two parts, Caserta Royal palace that is called the Italian Versailles, the picturesque village of Positano on the coast of Amalfi.
