Naxi women

The Naxi, or Nakhi, are an ethnic group coming from Tibet who have settled in Lijiang for 1400 years: they have their own language and social structure, in fact the family is ruled by women. Walking along the streets Lijiang it is easy to recognize them from their typical clothes: the women have blue shirt and trousers, a black T-shaped apron and a peculiar basket on the shoulder used to carry every kind of object. During the day it isn't rare to see them close to the ponds doing the washing up or taking the water to cold drink. There are also picture of women who are weaving a scarf tie on a loom.
