Portugal

Portugal is a country settled in southwestern Europe, in the Iberian peninsula, close to Spain. In the 15th and 16th centuries it creates a huge empire colonizing South America. It is a country facing the Atlantic Ocean: its coasts hide many natural beauties. The capital is Lisbon, Lisbon in Portuguese. The pictures represent some aspect of this country: there are views of beach, cities and coasts with lighthouse. The site contains images of Macao and Goa which belonged to the Portuguese colonial empire.
