San Fruttuoso

San Fruttuoso is a fishing boat hamlet reachable just by boat from Camogli or by feet walking through one of the main tracks on Mount Portofino. Arriving from the sea or from the hills is a breathtaking experience. The hamlet is formed by few old houses hidden by Doria abbey which is built directly on the beach. The Dorias was an important noble family of Genoa who have their graves inside the abbey. On the hills surrounding San Fruttuoso there is Doria turret which was a sight point against the Saracens attacks.
