Santa Margherita

Santa Margherita is a nice village close to Portofino in the Tigullio Gulf. It is a rich place with villas and mansion, smart shop and good restaurants, but it is also a starting point for hiking on Mount Portofino and just outside the center there are small beach where to swim. The old part is crossed by a carugio, a narrow street road typical in Liguria. On the hill just above the port there is Villa Durazzo which belonged to a noble family of Genoa.
