Apiaceae or Umbelliferae is a family of plants whose name comes from the peculiar inflorescence shape similar to an umbrella. Many species are cultivated for cooker or medicine, such as parsley, fennel, coriander and cumin. The flowers are symmetrical with 5 small sepals, 5 petals and 5 stamens. Here there are images of the angelica and the foeniculum vulgare. Fennel is also a vegetables mix used both raw than cooked to prepare delicious salad.
