The azalea is a flowering plants belonging to Ericaceae family. It has small dark green leaves and bright coloured flowers that bloom in spring. It is common in garden and parks since it is very decorative. The flowers can have different colors like white, red, pink. It needs acid soil to grow. It is called also Rhododendron whose name comes from the Greek words rhodon, rosaceae and dendron, trees.
