calendula Cepolina

The calendula is a plants in the family of asteraceae. It is also named pot marigold or Scotch marigold. It was used by the Rome, the Greece and the India for its many virtues: it has medicine properties, but can be used for dying and cooking. In medicine it is used as a bactericide, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory. The leaves can be eaten in salad. As you can see the plants have beautiful orange petals.
