The carambola is a strange, tasty, yellow fruit diffused in Asia. It is characterized by a five-angled shape and when cut it resembles a star. The glossy surface hides a fleshy and juicy pulp with a few seeds. It taste sour and sharp. These pictures are taken in Tonga where thanks to the tropical forest climate it is common to find coconut, papaya, mango, banana.
