Centipedes are fast-moving venomous, predatory terrestrial arthropods with long bodies and many jointed legs. They are among the fastest and most agile of arthropod predators: each segment of their body has a pair of legs. They are nocturnal animals and chiefly live in tropical forest climates. Some of these photos were taken in the Hawaii.
