The chestnut tree is a popular autumnal fruit that is contained inside a hard and thorny green shell: the brown woody cover hides a white pulp that must be cooked before to be eaten. The chestnut tree has a sweet taste and it can be roasted, boiled and if dried it is smashed and reduced into bread that is used to prepare pasta or fruit sweet. It is quite common to wander in the forest looking for them during fall.
