cistus

Cistus is a small flower in the family of Cistaceae with white petals, yellow heart and evergreen leaves; it blooms in spring in field and among country rocks. The one in the images is called cistus salvifolius since its leaves resembling the ones of salvia, an aromatic herb. It is diffused in the whole Mediterranean forest region including the Canary Islands.
