Corals are gastrovascular marine cnidarians typically forming colonies of many individuals. The group belonging to the subclass Zoantharia is the reef builder: the skeleton of these stony corals is composed of calcium carbonate. Coral reef are home for various sea creatures but nowadays are menaced by pollution. Beautiful coral reefs are in Tonga, in Oceania.
