Martinique is not only sea Martinique and beaches Martinique; just behind the coast there are hills covered with a rank vegetation that grows impenetrable and mysterious. There are arecaceae trees, fern and other tropical plants. The territory is mainly mountainous with tropical forest that cover many extinct volcanoes. In the north is located the Mount Pelee, an active volcano.
