Shanghai is a huge metropolis that is quickly getting bigger and bigger and that best symbolizes the China economical development: foreigner investors are attracted by the continuous growth and nowhere else the money circulation is so strong. The old buildings are demolished to leave space to skyscrapers Shanghai; the subway net is spreading underground reaching the furthest areas; large shopping malls attract the inhabitants and the tourists. But still there are a few historical areas, XIX century buildings, small shop and narrow alleys. Nanjing street, or Nanjing donglu, has been recently restyled to keep its charm and allure. This pedestrian large street road runs from people square (Renmin square) to Huangpu river: moving here and there it you can see shopping malls, jewel and food stores. It is night and day crowded of tourists who walk along it reaching the Bund district.
