The echium fastuosum, or echium candicans, is a plants belonging to the family of Boraginaceae that has blue-violet flowers resembling a instrument. It is diffused in Asia, Africa and Europe. This plants grows in large bushes that are often found in garden. It is a perennial shrub. It is very common in New Zealand and is endemic to the island of Portugal.
