
The eucalyptus is a trees in the family of Myrtaceae native to Australia but diffused also in Europe. It is appreciated for the lumber and also for the extraction of gum, resin and oil which has medicine uses. The various species have different names as mallee, box, ironbark, stringybark, and ash.
