A gondola is the typical Venetian boat: it has a long and narrow shape and is pointed at both ends, it is moved by a fisherman who stands at one side using a long pole metal. To make a trip on a gondola is a romantic experience though very expensive. Gondolas are usually painted with black colour according to an old sumptuary law.
