The lychees is a small, round fruit native to China growing on a trees of the soapberry families. The outer lumber scaly pinkish husk contains a globular white pulp that hides a large seed. In the China food it is commonly served as sweets. In Italy it is called "dragon's eye". It is diffused also in Java and the Philippines.
