machaon

Machaon is a butterfly of the family Papilionidae. It is also named Swallowtail, a common name applied to all members of the family. It is diffused all over the world. It is characterized by a strong and fast flight; it frequently pauses over flowers to sip nectar. Machaons prefer Umbelliferae plants.
