medium level clouds

Here there are images of clouds that form from 2400 to 6000 meters altitude; they are classified into altocumulus, altostratus, mackerel sky, nimbostratus. These clouds usually announce the approaching of a storm. All the clouds are found in the troposphere, the lowest level of the earh's atmosphere.
