These cottage are all built in the mountains and the pictures are taken in winter when the snow covers the roof and the surrounding landscape. There are images of shelters built at the top of mounts and used by ski to have a rest during the day. The roof are always pointed to permit the snow to fall down: on the contrary the snow cumulus could smash it.
