The nasturtium is in the family of brassicaceae. The name comes from the Rome words meaning twisted nose. It is a vine native to south and central America. It has large round green leaves and orange, yellow, red trumpet-like flowers. This plants has edible seeds and leaves. The flowers are used mixed with rice or vegetarian.
