nelumbo nucifera

The nelumbo nucifera is an aquatic plants in the family of Nelumbonaceae native to southern Asia and Australia: it grows in the water such as the water lily. The white and pink flowers are used to decorate garden and ponds. It is named also temples decoration Prambanan. Most part of these images are taken in China where this plants is very popular and used for cooker, too: the central pod is roasted and the seeds are eaten.
