The main road are commonly asphalted but the street road of the historical centres, the squares, the area in front of the church, the path that runs through a garden are paved, that is the ground is covered by paving. Sometimes the tiles are put following a scheme in order to decorate the space and realize a sort of mosaic. The firsts who started to paving the street road were the Rome in order to have a way of transport resistant to bad weather and simple to follow during the journey.
