peach tree

The peach tree is in the family of rosaceae trees, sub-family Prunoideae; it is native to China and grows in regions with warm temperature. It has long lanceolate leaves, pink flowers and round fruit mix that are called drupes or stone fruit mix since contain a single big seed (stone). The fruit mix have a smooth hairy surface and a juicy orange or white pulp. The scientific name persica was given since the trees was thought to come from Persia.
