pine resin

The conifer pine bark produces the resin, a transparent sticky substance that is used to make painting, glue and plastic film. Walking in a mountain forest or close to a pine mix you can smell the pleasing fragrance of the resin. In the images you can see the resin dripping to the field and melting with the needles. Sometimes the resin is produced to protect the plants from insects infestation and fungal infection.
