The poppy or papaver is included in the family of Papaveraceae. It is a large, delicate and colourful flower that grows, usually one per stem, wildly in field during spring. It is an annual or perennial plants that can be also agriculture for ornamental use or for medicine use: morphine is extracted from the fruit of the variety called opium or papaver somniferum which has narcotic properties. The small round blackish seeds are used for cooking cake and biscuit. Poppies are diffused in the northern hemisphere. In the category there are pink, white, orange, red flowers.
