When the river bed is stone and there is a strong slope the water starts flowing very roughly and taking a bathroom is dangerous: this phenomenon is called rapid. A rapid sometimes occurs just before a waterfall because the rill gets quicker and quicker. These images are taken during trekking in the mountains: adventurous people love to do rafting, that is descend waterways with canoe polo.
