rill

A rill is a small river with irregular stream and narrow bed that flows among the mountains, the hills or the field: the stream can be quiet but when it drops or when the snow melts the water flows roughly. There are also images taken in New Zealand of a geothermal rill whose water is warmed by the earth heat. Rafting is a popular sport practiced on mountains rills with canoe.
