Shintoism and Buddhism are the two main religion in Japan: there many temples devoted to these forms of worship. In this photos it is possible to see Japan temples outside and inside. The roof is curved like a pagoda. Inside there is a sacred area where monks celebrate the rites. people entering the temple must leave their shoes off. Outside there is always a fountain to wash mouth and hands, and a brazier for burning candle sticks. The temples are made of lumber. There are burning candle sticks to purify the air, paper luck tickets knotted outside the sacred area, brass bell sounded to call the faithful.
