These are a few images about the temples left by the Aztec and the Maya populations. The Aztecs founded their capital, Tenochtitlan, in the area where now Mexico city is located. The Maya lived in Yucatan, the peninsula located between the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea. These populations were destroyed by the arrival of the Spain conquistadores.
