A vase is a vessel usually smaller than a jar. It is commonly used to contain flowers, but also empty can be a decorative object inside a house. It is made of glass or clay sculpture. Here there are vases in alabaster, a kind of stone typical of Volterra in Tuscany. Some vases are made in Murano close to Venice where there are masters in the art of blowing glass.
