A water mill is a device to produce energy using a water wheel: this is an old system that was already known by the Italy and the Greece. It is also named Norse mill, Persian wheel or noria, a Spain word coming from the Arab. Commonly it was used to mill bread, but also to pound weave. These images where taken in Lijiang , a city in the Chinese province of Yunnan: the old town is crossed by many water rill that make the water mills work.
