Topkapi Palace (in Turkish Topkapi Sarayi) was the seat of the Ottoman Sultans until the XIX century. It was built by Mehmet II in 1459. The visit takes a few hours but it is worth! You walk through four courts; you can see the treasure with the famous Topkapi dagger and many other incredible jewels; you can't lose the Harem, the residence of the Emperor's family including his many concubines. The concubines were foreigner since couldn't be Muslim; they were bought or received as gift, and were educated inside the Palace.
